About

A blog about politics, history, the Classics and a whole lot more of interest.

I’m a historian by training, with a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, now working as a director of research at a global NGO.

The blog is named for Marcus Porcius Cato (‘Cato the Younger’), a Roman politician of the late 1st century BC. For more on Cato, see (among others) the biography by the Greek author Plutarch.
